Although at first glance the cabin may seem remote it’s actually not too far down to the main road, the N634 and to the village of Villamayor and from there it’s only about 15 minutes east to the large town of Arriondas. Arriondas has all local services: shops, restaurants, schools, bars, sport centre, town hall and library as well as a large hospital and access to the River Sella. From Arriondas it’s just 15 minutes more to the beach at Ribadesella or 10 minutes on to Cangas de Onis – the gateway to the Picos de Europa mountain range.

Heading west it’s just 15 minutes into the large county town of Infiesto. Infiesto is a busy, bustling market town and has a full complement of local services: shops, restaurants, schools, bars, sport centre, town hall and library. Neither is the house too far from either the capital, Oviedo which can be reached in just over 40 minutes, nor the many beautiful beaches to the north with the stunning Rodiles beach within 45 minutes drive.
