If you’re looking to buy a house here in Green Spain, here’s an illustration of how the process goes:

1. You browse our properties for sale in Northern Spain (Asturias, Galicia & Cantabria)

2. You find a house or houses that you are interested in and contact us for more information and to arrange a visit & viewings.

3. If you have a specific type of property in mind and don’t see it within our pages you let us know what you are looking for and we scour our files and the relevant areas for you to find exactly what you want.

4. We communicate (promptly & efficiently!) by email and/or telephone to ensure that you get the most out of your viewing trip – well-organised appointments to see properties of real interest to you.

5. You fall in love with a property and we put in an offer for you.

6. Your offer is accepted, now you must pay a deposit (usually around 10%). At this point the property is taken off the market and both you and the vendor are tied to the sale and a completion date is set. (Usually within 3 months.)

7. We will assist you in obtaining your NIE (Spanish fiscal number), Spanish bank account and other necessary paperwork for completion.

8. We will attend the signing of the Escritura at the Notario’s office (completion) with you to ensure you fully understand the proceeding. You will need to be present at completion or to appoint a power of attorney.
