Infiesto town is 3km (crucially 3 flat kilometres!) away, just 5 minutes by car and 10 by push bike! Infiesto is the county town and has a great selection of shops, bars, restaurants, banks, the local health centre etc. Monday is market day and the town is always busy as locals flock to buy excellent produce, including a wide array of fruit and veg, local meats and cheeses. Throughout the year Infiesto hosts various cultural events and fiestas, including the Fería de Abril, the hazelnut festival and mushroom days in autumn and the annual Memorial Maria Luisa international mountain and nature photography competiton and exhibition. The cultural association La Benéfica has recently taken over and restored the old theatre and is programming a lively range of cultural events bringing even more life to the town.

The recreational area of La Cueva is just 2km from the property, and there is a pleasant riverside walk that you can take to get there.  In summer the local outdoor pool opens here and there is a bar and bathroom facilities that are open from Easter onwards. This is also where the Sanctuary of the Virgin of La Cueva is located, an emblematic place of worship for Asturians.
