This is a semi-renovated, stone-built, village house situated in the beautiful and mountainous region of Teverga in the Parque Natural de Las Ubinas La Mesa.
The house has undergone quite a lot of work with a new roof being a very significant addition as well as many of the internals being readied for work/finishing. The layout of the house is best described as over two floor but three levels. Downstairs, the front door opens into a small room with stairs up to a larger space, destined as the lounge, which has double doors that open out onto a external terrace (not finished). From here there are a couple more steps up to a corridor with a small bathroom, the second bedroom and then the larger master bedroom with a space readied for an en-suite.
As can be seen from the fotos there is still work to do but a good quantity has been done already and everything has been done with a full project approved by the local council and is completely legal. This also means there are plans ready to follow to finish the house.
Additionally, underneath the house is a large storage area (renovated) which is accessed from the side of the house where also is accessed a large stone-built barn that is attached to and comes with the property. In front of the house is a small path of land which is large enough to be as a parking area as well as have room for a sitting out area/garden too. To the rear of the house is a shared, flat, grass area with a separate access.
The village is only a few kilometres from the town of San Martin where you can find nearly all local amenities: schools, medical centre, town-hall as well as shops bars and restaurants. Teverga itself is a paradise for outdoor types seeking hinking, biking, mountaineering, climbing and more sedentary outdoor activities like birdwatching or photography. A perfect spot for nature lovers and outdoorsy types there are spectacular hikes straight from the house and throughout the local area. You also have some of the best sports climbing in Spain right on your doorstep! The area is also a haven for wildlife and fast becoming a mecca for wildlife spotters – the Cantabrian brown bear and wolves are amongst the animals you could hope to see through your binoculars! Another huge local tourist draw is the famous ‘Senda del Oso’ family friendly bike trail which passes close by.
Located in the southern part of Asturias, the Ubiñas form the border between Asturias and León and the proximity to León is notable in the local micro-climate. The county of Teverga has a drier, sunnier climate than most of Asturias, where the influence of the Atlantic is more noticeable.
Certainly not ready to go, but definitely ready to finish this is a great opportunity to finish an thoroughly done project for a reasonable price and get a lovely home in a really nice village which has stunning views of the gorgeous Teverga valley.
