The house with the best views in the whole of Asturias?

This stone-built, detached house sits in the Alto del Peralin in Carbanes and has stunning, 360 degree views which include the Picos de Europa mountains to the south-east and the sea to the north. In a quiet spot with a plot of around 800m2 of land around the house and a further 2000m2 in front it has plenty of space inside but is ripe for development with large barns underneath as well as attached. The house is in a liveable state at present but it is in need of modernisation and with a moderate amount of work would make a really nice house using the current space. However, with a bigger overhaul this could make a fantastic property with a ton of space and the potential for a rental apartment (or two).

At present the internal layout consists of a small covered entrance hall, then on the left is a small dining room and on the right a larger kitchen area with a wood burning range as well as an electric hob. Further down the corridor are three good sized bedrooms, two double and a single, as well as a bathroom with shower.

Underneath the house are two very large and well kept barns and to the side of this is another large barn with the underneath closed and the upper part open: imagine a picture window in here!! Behind the house is another covered area which also gives access to the barn. The house has around 800m2 of land surrounding it, this is well kept with some apple trees, whicl just over the road is another large patch, much of which is steep, but with at least a couple of hundred metres flat enough to make a superb vergetable garden.

The house is close to the large village of Torazu which has a couple of bars and restaurants is home to a famous 4 star hotel and spa, has a school and was voted Pueblo Ejemplar de Asturias a few years ago! It is then about 10 minutes to Santa Eulalia where there are some more bars and shops as well the town hall and another school.  The large town of Villaviciosa is around 20 minutes away and this has a wider selection of shops including large supermarkets as well as a medical centre. Actually pretty close to the coast, the famous kilometre long beach of Rodiles is just 30 minutes away.

A decent sized house in pretty reasonable condition with a ton of potential this south-facing house has some of the best views anywhere in Asturias is at a good price and well worth a look.
